Brockton Drone Team Qualifies for Second Straight National Championship Appearance

MANCHESTER, NH — The New England Regional Aerospace Robotics Competition (ARC) was held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Saint Anselm College. Despite inclement weather forcing the event indoors, the competition showcased the innovation, teamwork, and technical skill of eight teams representing six schools: Belmont High School, Brockton High School, Burlington High School, Lincoln Labs, Nipmuc Regional High School and River Valley Technical Center (VT).

Each team participated in semi-autonomous flight trials, delivered technical presentations to industry professionals, and tackled an ethics challenge based on scenarios studied throughout the season.

Congratulations to this year’s top teams:

1st Place: Quadcopter from Brockton High School

2nd Place: Belmont Aerospace Student Society (B.A.S.S.) from Belmont High School

3rd Place: Red Devils from Burlington High School

Special Awards:

Best Mechanism: Egg Airlines from Nipmuc Regional High School

Sportsmanship Award: Wright Flyers from Lincoln Labs

The top three teams have earned invitations to compete at the inaugural National Aerospace Robotics Competition, also hosted at Saint Anselm College, on June 6–7, 2025.
